John Colby is the owner and operator here at Clean Slate. He has over 20 years of experience in carpentry, painting and masonry. He learned most of his trade while working under the supervision of his father who was a contractor for over 40 years.

Humble Beginnings

The paint brush as a logo is a reminder of my humble beginnings. I started my career painting for my dad many years ago. It allowed me to satisfy my urge of be a perfectionist all while learning other trades from seasoned contractors around me. I value and appreciate that time in my life and the paint brush is constant reminder to always put my best foot forward in everything I do.
